The ride down was beautiful! We had perfect weather and enjoyed just taking our time wandering our way down to Oregon. We made a few stops along the way and stayed off of the freeway all-together, which made for a nice, long day on the bike!
Once we got to the Edgefield we spent a couple of hours wandering around the 10th Annual Cracked Pots Show. Local artists use found, recycled, or reclaimed materials to make art - some cute, some beautiful, some bizarre!
We spent the rest of the evening enjoying food and drink all around the property - they have the McMenamin's winery, brewery, and distillery on the grounds at the Edgefield. They also have several bars (from sports bars to tiny hideaways), a few restaurants, a movie theater, a spa...it's hard to get to everything in just a few days!
On the second day, we rode out to Multnomah Falls in the morning, had lunch there, came back in time for my massage at the spa, wandered the grounds, caught a movie...it was so wonderful to have so much time to just relax and play with my amazing hubby!
The next day we headed home :(, but what an amazing ride! We came back on the east side of Mt. St. Helens. There were hardly any other people on the roads, the weather was beautiful, and around every curve was another spectacular view. We're definitely doing that run again!
We wrapped up the trip with a night out with close friends and then a fire and s'mores at home...it was hard to get back into the swing of things after such a lazy, fun trip!
I know these pictures don't do it justice, but I hope you enjoy a peak at our fun...
