Happy Birthday, Tucker!!

Tucker turned 3 on December 3rd!
We celebrated at home with close friends and lots of silliness - par for the course with Tuck! He had been looking forward to making his cake for days and did a great job being my helper.
After the cake was made, dinner and dessert were eaten, and he opened his smaller gifts (puzzles and Veggie Tales!), we took him to his bedroom for his big present...his big boy bed!!
He was so excited as soon as he looked in his room! He ran right over and oohed and aahed and grinned....about the gold bow!! =} It was so cute! Once he realized that the BED was actually his gift, he hopped on and kicked back.

Tucker is so much fun each and every day. He's so smart and beautiful and sweet and has the greatest imagination! While it's hard to believe he's already 3, it's even harder to remember what life was like without him. He is such a blessing!

He understands concepts very well - when we were camping in August he asked for "strawberry" so I said I'd put some strawberries on his plate. He hollered, "No! Not strawberries! STRAWBERRY - just one!!"

He thinks very logically a lot of the time - at MOPPETS one day, they had been learning about how God made the plants. He was very proud of his baggie of grass seeds and wet cottonball (which are still growing beautifully in the dining room window) and informed me, "Mama, I'm God!" It made sense to him! God made plants, he made plants in his baggie, so he must be God!

He's still working on the whole age/time concept - we were at my aunt's house for a get-together and she gave me a picture of my dad and me with my favorite toy when I was about a year and half. I showed it to Tucker and told him who was in the picture. He got this worried look on his face and said, "Mama, you can't be little. You have to stay big and be Mama...and I'll play with Grandpa's toys!" =}

He has so much energy that it can be hard to keep up with him sometimes, but it's so wonderful to be able to share his adventures and laugh at his jokes and antics. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of our crazy 2 year old:
