...at the County Fair

The county fair around here is held the first weekend in August. We've missed it the last two years, so this was Tucker's first time...well, technically. I was waddling around six months along with him the last time we made it.

So this time we figured, "Hey! It's the middle of an unbearable heatwave, so let's get our neighbors to come too!" Yeah, they love us. The fair did set up misting areas all over the grounds and there were plenty of cold drinks and treats to be had. We also spent a lot longer looking at the exhibits in the buildings with air conditioning than we would have otherwise! We were there for nearly twelve hours...I think it's safe to say we had a good time!

I'm pretty sure we've completely given up the Puyallup Fair now...the county fair isn't as big and much of the 'entertainment' is kaka, but the boys enjoy the rides and we're really just there for the food and exhibits, and the crowds are manageable. So, why not go to a fair that's ten minutes from home, we don't have to walk a mile back to where we parked, and we still have grocery money at the end of the night?
