This year's March for Babies was such a success!! Maddie's Marchers had a great team of dedicated walkers that did an awesome job fundraising! We decided to raise our team goal a little and shoot for $3500. We blew that out of the water by raising over $4100!! (And I beat my personal best - which is awesome!)
We had the full crew of kiddos with us this year, too. They all did great and had lots of fun. Maddie, Tristan, and Jackson are the reasons we keep doing this every year. All three of them were preemies and, thanks in part to the March of Dimes, are now happy, healthy little people.
The pinwheels were placed in a memory garden to honor some of the stories we heard this year about little ones that either didn't make it or fought hard to still be with us. I'm so grateful to have my two healthy boys!
After the march, most of us headed over to enjoy some time together and a festive lunch. It was also the day before my birthday, so I got the sombrero treatment at the restaurant - stylish hat, serenade by waitstaff, and a yummy sundae works for me! =}
