I love going to concerts, but am usually too cheap to spend the money on tickets. So getting FREE tickets from Spirit 105.3 to see the Newsboys was great!!
It was Joey's first concert and, since we had four tickets, it was Maddie's, too!
(And Uncle Houston's chance to expose someone new to Der Wienerschnitzel!)
The show was great - the opening act was, well, an opening act. The second opener was Bread of Stone and we all loved them! We'll be keeping track of these guys.
The Newsboys were awesome! We did miss hearing some of our favorite songs since the original lead singer is gone, but what they did was great! They were fun and inspiring and the technical aspects of the show were fantastic. We all had a great time, even if Maddie is too well trained for her bedtime and fell asleep near the end and then again during the encore. =}
The shot at the bottom left is Maddie during the encore (which is the picture next to her) - it was so loud and there were crazy lights and stunts going on. How do you sleep through that?!
My favorite pic, though, is of Joey and Maddie just praisin' and rockin' out!
